Class Time Recap
The purpose of this recap is so that parents can reinforce godly principles learned during VBS programing each day.

ON FRIDAY AN ALTAR CALL WILL BE GIVEN DURING MORNING ASSEMBLY FOR STUDENTS WHO WANT TO MAKE FIRST TIME COMMITMENTS OR RECOMMITMENTS TO JESUS. We want parents to be aware of this and encourage you to follow up with your child about this.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a fun, week-long summer program for kids that feels like a morning summer camp. Each day includes games, music, crafts, and engaging Bible lessons that help children grow in their understanding of God’s love and learn Christ-centered values like kindness, faith, and serving others. No church background is needed. Everyone is welcome!

Kids ages 4-11 and teen/adult volunteers. Kids attending must be out of diapers.

Parents have the option of registering students for VBS or our Jr high urban mission trip happening the week of VBS programming IF they are 11 years old.
Signups for the urban mission trip are coming soon. For more information reach out to Pastor Noah at noah@calvarychapelreno.org. -
Yes, a Jr. high student may serve at VBS if they’re 14 years old by VBS.

Yes, but it is up to parents. CCRS will not be chaperoning or escorting kids to Wild Island. It will not occur during official VBS programming.

Yes, discounted day passes will be available. Day passes will only be valid for Friday June 26th after VBS programming. Teen volunteers will receive a free day pass as a thank you.

Via phone. Please be sure to include at least two emergency contacts at registration.

Comfortable summer clothes and shoes. Something you don’t mind getting dirty or wet. We recommend packing an extra change of clothes for kids ages 4-5.

Yes. Kids will be placed in a classroom by ages. The class breakup are as follows: 4-5 year olds, 6 year olds, 7 year olds, 8 year olds, 9 year olds, and 10-11 year olds.

No VBS is free. The only costs associated with the event will be on Friday where we will have shaved ice and carbonated drink vendors, or if kids/families would like to purchase a Wild Island ticket.

Yes, childcare will be available for volunteers with kids from birth to 3.
